Q: What is the difference between Membership and Certification?

A: Anyone who works within a Central Service or Sterile Processing Department (Active) or has an allied connection with the department (Associate) can become a member of IAHCSMM. Individuals do not have to be certified to enjoy all of the benefits of membership. When certified individuals renew annually, point submissions renew the certification and payment renews the membership. Certified individuals can not renew or maintain certification without membership

Q: When are renewals due?

A: All membership and certification renewals are due no later than April 30th annually. It is highly recommended to renew early to receive your new card prior to the expiration date (please be aware, delivery times for new cards may be up to 2 weeks if received near the deadline date)

Q: When is CS Week?

A: CS Week is always the second full week in October, starting with the second Sunday.
