How Can We Help You Become Certified?

Scheduling Your Exam

  1. Finally, you’re ready to schedule your exam! Prometric is our testing provider in the United States, Canada and several locations around the world. You can schedule by calling their toll free number, or even better, online using their scheduling website. We highly recommend scheduling your exam appointment online because you will have access to view all available time slots within your eligibility and you will be able to print off an appointment confirmation letter too!

mousePrometric Toll Free Scheduling Number: 800-998-1942

Or Put the scheduling in YOUR hands and choose appointments/times/locations that best serve your needs Online at www.prometric.com/iahcsmm

    • Choose your country and state/province and you’ll then be prompted with several choices; choose Schedule an Exam
    • Read the disclaimers, and if you agree, continue on until you can enter your Eligibility ID number (the IAHCSMM Member ID # from your confirmation letter, and the first 4 letters of your last name…so that Prometric can find your account within their system)
    • You’ll select the location/city where you want to take the exam, and then all available dates and times will show in a calendar
    • Once you’ve selected the location, date and time, you will be prompted a few times if the information is correct. Read through these prompts carefully! Once you make an appointment, there is a re-scheduling fee of $25 if you need to change your appointment, so make sure you’ve selected everything correctly! Re-scheduling fees are payable directly to Prometric when you re-schedule at the Prometric website or call the Prometric scheduling phone number
    • After your appointment is finalized, you can use the Prometric website to print off an appointment confirmation (for your records only, you do not need to bring the letter to the testing site) or even get step by step driving directions
    • To familiarize yourself with how the exam is set up on a computer at a Prometric testing site, you can practice on a tutorial at home. This tutorial will walk you through the basic steps of how to answer questions, mark questions to come back to later, and finalize your exam. You’ll have the opportunity to practice on the tutorial on-site (and it won’t effect time spent taking the actual exam) or you can download it here: Prometric Tutorial
